What You’ll Do

As a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

Reviewing patient information and medical records to accurately code diagnoses and procedures.
Preparing and submitting billing claims to insurance companies and government programs.
Following up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure prompt payment.
Communicating with healthcare providers and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues.
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA guidelines.
Staying current on coding standards and best practices.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who:

Has a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possesses a certification in medical billing and coding (CPC, CCA, or CCS preferred).
Has experience with coding systems, such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
Is detail-oriented and can work independently with minimal supervision.
Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Is familiar with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR).
